Howard Donahue is an associate in the Industrial and Consumer Product Liability Practice Group in the Philadelphia office of Lavin O’Neil Ricci Cedrone & DiSipio. He concentrates his practice on the automotive, industrial equipment, consumer products, and construction products industries as well as construction and warranty litigation.

Mr. Donahue supervises and manages complex product liability, warranty and commercial lawsuits. He has conducted arbitrations, mediations and settlement conferences and worked extensively with expert witnesses. He has experience managing and supervising local counsel and serves as counsel for a local contracting company doing business in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has tried several small claims cases to defense verdict. One of Mr. Donahue’s clients awarded him a certificate of appreciation for his work on their behalf.

Examples of Mr. Donahue’s experience include:

· Appointed by the client to be one of three attorneys nationwide to devise defense strategies and handle lawsuits and claims involving complex automotive emissions issues. Prepared and successfully argued Motion for Summary Judgment in breach of warranty involving complex automotive emissions issues.

· Successfully arbitrated cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

· Served as third chair for argument before New Jersey Appellate Division in which the Appellate Division agreed with client’s position on apportionment and remanded the case for a new trial.

Mr. Donahue earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law - Camden in Camden, New Jersey, where he was on Dean’s List and graduated from the University of Delaware, also on Dean’s List.

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania state courts and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Bar Association.

Within the Lavin firm, the Board of Directors selected Mr. Donahue as one of a team of four to present “business of the firm” training to junior associates. He has served on the firm’s Hiring Committee and participated in the its formal mentoring program.
